Affordable Good Dog food!!!?

I feed Science Diet right now, but money is so tight... I don't want a crappy food for my dogs, I want to stay away from any food with animal digest in it. I want my dogs to have the best but with 5 LG. Breed dogs the Science Diet bill is killing me...

the "good dog food" costs more, but you are able to feed less of it because it has no fillers. so maybe you feed say 4 cups a day of SD, with a grain free kibble you might be able to feed only 2 cups a day.
So don't just go by cost, look at the suggested amounts you need to feed on your SD bag and on any potential dog food you want to buy. the cost just might even out the same.

with that said. You can feed half kibble and half raw meat or homecooked. if you live in a hunter community you probably can get lots of free meat. or you can use freecycle to ask for freezerburnt meat. i actually find raw feeding my dogs to be cheaper than the "good" dog food, if you know where to look for the deals though.
